Many guests that travel through John Wayne Airport (JWA) aren’t aware of the extensive parks local to Orange County, offering stunning views of coastal canyons, grasslands and mountain vistas. In partnership, JWA and OC Parks worked to create roadway banners to provide a glimpse into the OC Parks landscape and encourage residents and guests of Orange County to explore and discover these incredible Orange County treasures. The banners highlight 12 of Orange County’s stunning parks available for residents and guests visiting Orange County, and are now displayed on the Departure (upper) Level roadway at JWA.
Featured on the banners are Aliso Beach, Carbon Canyon Regional Park, Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park, Dana Point Harbor, Irvine Regional Park, Mile Square Regional Park, Newport Back Bay, Thomas F. Riley Wilderness Park, Salt Creek Beach, Santiago Oaks Regional Park, William R. Mason Regional Park and Limestone Canyon Nature Preserve.
The OC Parks roadway banners will be on display through November. For more information about OC Parks events and resources, visit http://www.ocparks.com/.
