John Wayne Airport has launched Play Me! Piano in the Thomas F. Riley Terminal. Airport guests now have the opportunity to pass the time, relax before a flight, and impress their fellow travelers as they sit down at the Avant Grand piano located post-security on the upper level between Terminals A and B.
The Play Me! Piano is part of the JWAlive music program intended to enhance the guest experience at the Airport by providing live acoustic guitar and piano performances in the Terminal. While music is entertaining, playing the piano, in particular, has proven to reduce stress and anxiety, and make a person feel more positive.
“Live music in the Terminal creates a peaceful ambiance, helping guests unwind and relax before their flight,” said Barry Rondinella, Airport Director. The wonderful thing about piano music is that you can share it, and music is an enjoyable way to bring people together.
