Throughout the month of August, John Wayne Airport partnered with Make-A-Wish Orange County and Inland Empire to help grant wishes for local children battling critical illnesses. The “Trips that Transform” campaign accepts donations of unused, low balance, or soon-to-expire airline miles for American, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, and United Airlines.
This year, the campaign resulted in more than 41,000 donated miles, and that number could increase as miles continue to be received by MAW. Every mile helps Wish kids and their families travel to destinations across the Country. 75 percent of wishes require air travel, and MAW needs more than 40 million airline miles annually to fulfill travel wishes.
The Trips that Transform partnership is one of many ways that John Wayne Airport supports the community. Learn more about our Community Outreach programs here.
