John Wayne Airport ranked #2 among large airports in North America by J.D. Power's 2020 North America Airport Satisfaction Study, continuing its record of top-rankings since it was elevated to the large airport category in 2017. The Airport ranked #1 among large airports in 2017 and 2018.
John Wayne Airport (JWA) is excited to add several new nonstop destinations to our lineup. Beginning in February 2021, Allegiant Airlines will begin service at JWA flying nonstop to Boise, ID; Grand Junction, CO; Medford, OR; Missoula, MT; Provo, UT; Reno, NV; and Spokane, WA.

John Wayne Airport is honored to be the recipient of a sculpture generously donated to the Airport’s permanent art collection. The sculpture, created by renowned artist Betty Gold, is titled VOLAR, which means “to fly.” It is located on Baggage Carousel 1, in Terminal A.
The National Association of Counties (NACo) presented John Wayne Airport with an Achievement Award for Best in Category – Human Services for the Airport’s “Helping Hands” program. The program provides individualized assistance, easing the stress associated with airport travel for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other hidden disabilities.
Unfortunately, the coronavirus has taken a serious toll on Airport operations, tenants and stakeholders. We don’t know when this will end, but it will end, and we will get through it together.
